In manila several years ago, an old friend from school reached out for some help. He had applied for many jobs, and submitted his CV to many companies. After months of rejection and waiting, he finally received an invitation to an interview for his dream job. The salary was better than he could have ever hoped for, and the job was with an excellent international company. The only problem was, the interview was scheduled to be held at very short notice, and the interview requirements specified a dress code. All interview candidates needed to wear a formal suit and tie, a smart collar shirt, and proper shoes. He would also need to travel far for the interview. 

This problem was, he barely had enough money to afford the transportation cost to attend the interview, let alone to hire or buy a formal suit and tie, a smart collar shirt and shoes. None of his friends had a suit and tie available to lend at short notice, so it looked like his chances of securing his dream job were going to slip away because he couldn't afford to get the formal clothes to attend the interview and he couldn't afford the transport cost to travel.

At the last minute, a group of friends got together and gave him the money, so he was able to buy the things he needed for the interview and to afford the travel costs. He went to the interview and secured the job, and is now a successful productive professional with a good occupation! He repaid the money back quickly, and added a bit extra to show appreciation. Both parties were able to prosper, because the money was repaid with an increase, and he was helped to secure his dream job. This is prospering together!

This was the lightbulb moment of how our cooperative was formed. This showed that it is possible to help someone else and also achieve a return at the same time. There really is such a thing as a win win situation. 

Helping underprivileged Kabayans to prosper can also benefit everyone. This is prospering together! By working together in goodwill, we can make the world a caring and prosperous place. Together we prosper!
